   Hi I purchased a Nokia N73 on 31st March, 2008. In a week’s time, the phone started to hang. [without installing any softwares, songs]. Had bought the piece from Pondy Bazar, T.Nagar, Chennai Univercell outlet. I the had to give a brand new phone for repair. And I see many complaints posted for Pondy Bazaar.. Is the outlet giving out really genuine products. Can some audit or check be done please on this outlet mobile phones.

    Hi,

    I bought a new nokia 3500 classic from univercell spencers plaza outlet in the 1st week of May. Day by day the phone battery is getting so weak. I have to charge the battery twice a day even if Im not using it for the whole day. I have not installed any software. I now want it to replace with some good mobile that gives me longer battery life. If i can replace it with another mobile what is the procedure. Reply ASAP.

    Be careful while you buy Nokia 3110c. Most pieces does not support more than 512 MB of data in memory card though you have 1 GB memory card. The phone will be restarting by itself until you make the memory card free.

    I bought a Samsung J 600 from the TTK Road branch on 18/7/08( Invoice no. P.AGF/10131 , Executive - Imtiaz ). I found that the Ring volume was very low - so also the ear piece volume. Since I went out of Chennai soon afterwards, I could give the new phone for repairs only on 26/7/08. (Job card no. 29077). After repeated follow up, the piece was handed back to me after 9 days,on 4/8/08.

    I now find that I am unable to send messages. I am at a loss on this repeated malfunctions of a new set bought from a reputed party - I am looking for a replacement of the set. I wd like a responsible executive of Univercell to address my case.

    Stay away from the mobile store, 100 ft road, velachery , chennai
    Extremely rude salesmen and unresponsive customer service.
    They gave me a defective mobile phone and were not ready to replace it. They took it back for repair and its day 16 , i am still waiting for the mobile. the staff is unwilling to give a spare mobile phone .

    I have got a new 6500SLide in the month of june.This is not good phone..With in 2 months i got graphics corruption when i contact Nokia care they are saying we need to change the display. If the problem comes this much early then how about the life time of the mobile? I purchased in UNIVERCALL. Whether Univercall had sold a Defective product or Nokia is not that much good.

    I had sent a mail to Nokia Directly itself to Bangalore.They told me that they will be contacting me within 48 hours. This was the reply from nokia. But i havent receieved any call till now.

    Worst Customer Service in Univercell anywhere in Chennai. Persons working in Univercell are thinking themselves as a President for US and didn’t give a respect to customers, They don’t know the value of the customers.

    Univercell ranks First in Worst Customer Service.

    Please avoid Going there.

    I went there to purchase a mobile today. After Paying the money I found the Mobile was missing. But I didnt get the mobile from shopkeeper. Full fault is belongs to them. But they Ignored and ask me to buy new one instead of searching for the one which I bought. The idea suggested by them is ridiculous. I went to Police station and Complained about this and then Inspector Came to the shop and after that they give me the new mobile…..

    Please Guys Dont go for Univercell even in your dreams.

Mobile is one time investment for atleat 2 years, after buying you need a good relationship with the store people and sevice henceforth, so better dnt think cheap of saving 50 or 100 Rs. and buy from good reputed stores. there proces are also on higher side. for good deals i would personally prefer the mobiles store which has stores across india and have good customer service. i bought a mobile today there and in there diwali scheme got 35% money back almost 7000 yup geniune store … go and enjoy ur shopping today and try ur luck max.55% mony back dudes…its happening in chennai.

    Don’t buy phones at Univercell, they provide theft & damage insurance which can’t be claimed at all. I bought an E-71 from Univercell Hyderabad.They mentioned abt the insurance policy & told that it’s very easy to claim the insurance & made me pay extra 500 for insurance. Now after 6months i lost my phone & when i approached them they are asking all sorts of acknowledgements which actually dont exist.After a while i lost my patience & i was desperate on them, then they showed me their insurance Rules:

    MOBILE INSURANCE POLICY
    COVERAGE:

    1. Fire

    2. Riot, strike, Terrorist activity

    3. Theft

    4. Loss or damage arising out of Road accidents
    EXCLUSIONS:

    1. Any loss occasioned by water or occasioned from any water borne craft

    2. Loss due to theft or damage due to attempted theft from any unattended vehicle.

    3. Loss or damage caused while driving or traveling the insured’s own vehicle.

    4. Loss or damage due to mechanical, electrical of electronic breakdown or derangement.

    5. Loss or damage arising out of negligence, carelessness, poor care and maintenance, intentional and willful act.

    6. Mysterious disappearance, missing, misplaced or forgotten mobile instrument.

    7. Loss or damage while under the custody of a third party.

    8. Loss or damage due to operation of war, warlike operations and nuclear perils

    9. Loss or damage caused by wear and tear, moth, vermin, atmospheric or climatic conditions or gradual deterioration, inherent defect or from any process of cleaning, repairing, renovation or maintenance.

    In case of damage:

     3 YEARS BACK I BOUGHT NEW SONY ERRICKSON MOBILE AT HOSPET,KARNATKA UNIVERSAL STORE.AT THAT TIME GOLD COIN OFFER WAS THERE(AKSHAT TRITIYA).YESTERDAY THAT COIN WAS CHECKED BY GOLDSMITH BUT IT WAS NOT GOLD.WHENEVER UNIVERSAL OFFERING GOLD COIN,THAT COIN WILL BE BRASS AND THEY ARE CHEATING THE CUSTEMER,THEY ARE PLAYING AND ENCASHING IN THE NAME OF AKSHAT TRITIYA.

     hai do ever think of buying any cell at universal sofar i got 3 phones one sony erricson another 2 models of LG all waste within 3 yrs all my cell went wrong and the service of this shop is the worst
     twice i gave my lg for repair and eventhough i got after 1 month still it is not in working condition and the service is tooooo bad and plz do not go to this shop and waste ur time and money

     Unvercell Tnagar cheating for a long time? I never expected this… I am suffered yesterday 29/07/10. I excited with their advertisements and paper ads and purchased samsung mobile there at 2 weeks before. That shop executive Karthik and vinoth promised me that I will get reebok travelbag or Reebok sunglass. but yesterday i went to collect my gift, I got shocked they are giving me useless handbag not even worth rs100. That smart executives now telling that gifts not for my phone, thats only for online booking etc etc. Finally I was cheated by UNIVERCELL TNAGAR BRANCH. Please all don’t go to that shop they are cheating with advertisements.

     Samsung mobiles are useless now. Service of Digital Waves, Gopalapuram, Chennai hopeless and they aim at only charging for spares by hook or crook eventhough the mobile is under warranty. Better don’t buy Samsung Mobiles.
